In this role, you will lead the development of science instruments for space flight missions; work with scientists and engineers across technical boundaries to develop instrument concept; spearhead new technology development of detectors and electronics in laboratory vacuum systems.
The selected candidate will develops a rules-based processing and alerting system triggered by data streams and real time events. Maintains and enhances the existing code base. Helps design and maintain coding standards to enhance application development and maintenance.

In this role, you will assist clients from any field model their real life problem using tribometers and help solve their problems or improve their products. Work closely with the current tribologist and tribology staff to maintain high quality of work, results and customer relationships, providing support on current projects as well as establishing own projects.
