Plan and administer prescribed skilled physical therapy treatment and training for patients suffering from various injuries, illnesses and functional disabilities to attain highest level of physical function.
Provides Physical Therapy services to patients referred. Including, assessment, treatment plan development and implementation with follow-up and discharge planning. Actively assists with clinical aspects of the department. Including, program development, department operations and Performance Improvement activities.
The Physical Therapist evaluates and treats residents, under orders from a physician, through the use of a variety of therapeutic procedures designed to restore loss of muscle strength, coordination and body alignment, to relieve pain and to improve movement and function. The Physical Therapist participates as a member of the interdisciplinary team providing support and information within the area of Physical Therapy.
The Physical Therapist evaluates patients, sets goals, plans treatment programs and treat patients according to physicians orders; maintains required records and notes on patient care; assumes responsibility for patient charges; provides technical advice to support personnel and supervision of same.
