As a rediclinic family nurse practitioner or physician assistant you will assess the health status of ambulatory patients 18 months and older. Diagnose and treat routine medical conditions and prescribe medications when necessary.
In this position, you will communicate effectively, in verbal and written form, with retail and medical partners at various levels, patients, family members, physicians and representatives of the community.
Serve as an advanced practice nurse providing primary level of care in collaboration with physicians and other members of the health care team to a specific patient population in the outpatient and/or inpatient setting.
The Specialty Nurse Practitioner performs clinical procedures under direction of attending Physician and according to approved protocols, and also initiates and changes patient care based on condition of patient and approval of Physician.
In this role, you will include the conduct of bio psychosocial assessment, diagnosis and management of mental health problems and psychiatric disorders, education, health promotion and disease prevention for patients, as well as, crisis oriented care and therapeutic counseling/psychotherapy.
