The Director of Nursing oversees the operational, personnel and fiscal management of the department with an emphasis on high quality, cost effective patient care. The Director of Nursing is responsible for overseeing the care provided by Registered Nurses in the department, managing the departmental budget and staffing, and ensuring that patients, nurses and hospital administrators are satisfied with the operation of the department.
The director of surgery contributes to the goals of the hospital by generating new surgical business, developing and controlling operational and capital budgets, intervening and solving potential patient safety problems, and developing the personnel, physical environment, material and organizational systems to provide competitive, cost effective or services.
In this role, you will develops reviews, revises, submits, and implements procedures, goals, and objectives for assigned nursing unit/units. Develops, submits, and administers budgets for assigned area.
In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for all aspects of nursing care delivery in the facility; organize and administer areas of Patient Care Services to attain the facilitys objectives established by the governing authority.
The director of case management is responsible for system wide case management program development under the direct supervision of the vice president of clinical services for the methodist healthcare system.
