May review proposals, including gathering facts, analyzing data, and preparing project overview which compares alternatives in terms of cost, time, availability of equipment, and personnel, etc. Recommends course of action.
The Data Analyst creates final reports and additional report deliverables for all product lines. This position uses programs such as Word, Excel, Power Point, SPSS, SPSS Survey Reporter, and Adobe Acrobat. The analyst works with key Operations and Sales staff to meet client deadlines and reporting requirements. The Data Analyst engages in quality control activities through the review of select reports, data files, and client deliverables.
Provides special project planning, implementation support, and direction. Projects may include, but are not limited to: new service launches, conversions, splits/merges, software upgrade communications, new technology launches, and data mart creations.
Provides assistance in resolving data quality problems through the appropriate choice of error detection and correction, process control and improvement, or process design strategies collaborating with subject matter experts (SMEs) and data stewards.
The Data Analyst has the primary responsibility of data collection, modeling, and reporting of results; during the analysis phase of a project they will qualify the opportunities in the client's business and during the engagement phase they will support the need for ongoing data-driven work to enhance the client's systems and processes.
