Accountable for the delivery of coordinated, safe, compassionate, therapeutic, evidence-based quality care to patients and families, based on individual physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, and appropriate care strategies throughout the lifespan.
The Medical/Surgical Unit will also pay for medical/surgical certification for nurses looking to continue education. The unit also offers reimbursement for chemotherapy certifications, palliative care, and oncology certifications.
Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate patients care to achieve patient goals and to optimize outcomes. Foster a learning environment for patient / families, nursing, and other members of the healthcare team including students.
Provides professional nursing services to accomplish the individual customer-owner plan of care; independently and consistently using the nursing process to safely, therapeutically, and efficiently care for a full assignment of customer-owners with subtle and sometimes unidentified needs.
