The Clinical Lab Scientist (CLS) is a vital part of an interdisciplinary team and preforms medical laboratory procedures in Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Serology, Chemistry, Blood Bank and Microbiology for the use of diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of disease.
Demonstrates feasibility of technical solutions to key problems/issues within research group and project teams; generates new ideas to identify unexplored key technology areas for developing intellectual property.
Preforming analysis requiring a complex network of steps and variables, confirming and verifying results through in-depth professional knowledge of techniques, principles and instruments, and preforming Clinical Chemistry tests both manual and automated in a precise and timely manner in accordance with established policy and procedures.
Maintains an effective network with key stakeholders such as technical peers extending to all global sites and manufacturing unit personnel; demonstrates competencies regarding key instrumentation and standard techniques commonly used in the laboratory.
Responsible for assisting in the diagnosis and treatment of patients by performing various clinical laboratory procedures. The Clinical Lab Scientist correlates and integrates other patient data and interprets test results.
