In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of progressive procurement strategies that deliver advantaged economics, controlled capital and expense costs.
S/he is responsible for leading the development and implementation of progressive procurement strategies that deliver advantaged economics, controlled capital and expense costs, industry-leading innovation and quality in the procurement of all goods and services all of Webster Bank's Lines of Businesses (LOB) in a decentralized third-party (vendor) management organizational model.
The position will be responsible to: provide end-to-end sourcing services across various internal client groups and categories of goods and services, develop and deliver clear project and category plans with regards to driving cost savings, improving processes, and reducing risk as it relates to the Procurement-related activities within Webster.
The Project Manager will monitor and report the status of all projects to executive staff, project sponsors, customers, and additional stakeholders; define a problem, analyze the data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
In this role, the selected candidate will collaborate across the Procurement organization with the areas of Third Party Risk Management and Tactical Procurement to ensure seamless service is delivered to the internal client base and the Webster's supplier community.
