The primary purpose of this position is to provide direct nursing care to the residents and to supervise the day to day activities of the nursing assistants. Supervision must be in accordance with federal, state, local laws, and the policies of the facility.
In this role, the selected candidate will be working in collaboration with a medical directing physician, and under established standards and guidelines of the Department of Anesthesiology, the successful candidates will provide anesthetic care for all types of patients and procedures.
In this role, you will be responsible for the effective management and delivery of direct nursing care to PACE participants in any setting utilizing nursing process and adhering to standards of nursing practice.
In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for providing assessment, planning, monitoring, and intervention for a patient population which includes seriously or critically ill cardiac, medical and surgical patients of various ages, as well as intermediate PCU level of care depending on the census.
In this role, you will be responsible for the provision of basic nursing care to surgical patients in accordance with current BFMC Standards of Care and AORN, ASPAN, SGNA recommended practice and standards. Assumes accountability for the outcomes of nursing care.
In this role, you will be responsible for initiating the appropriate intervention and support for the patient and family upon admission to VITAS and provides a continuously appropriate, comprehensive and responsive plan of care.
