Serves as a subject matter expert for mechanical equipment with a focus on mechanical equipment and systems typically found in manufacturing facilities, heavy industries, processing facilities, machine shops, pumping stations, and similar facilities.
Improve equipment capability/defect reduction/throughput improvement for high volume manufacturing using statistical process control, DOE techniques, data driven decision making and systematic problem solving skills. Use lean manufacturing and six sigma processes.
Research, design and prototype novel analytics algorithms and models by utilizing multiple sensors for visual inspection with deep working knowledge in statistical machine learning methods and deep neural networks.
Leads requirements analysis, requirements definition, requirements management, functional analysis, performance analysis, system design, detail trade studies, systems integration and test (verification), validation and interface definition studies of system, subsystem or system elements with little or no supervision.
Responsible for the performance of any/all functions involved in the development and maintenance of new or existing applications. Additionally, the role requires completing documentation, and perform testing and debugging of applications.
Develop risk assessment methodologies in accordance with established industry risk metrics; conduct risk assessment audits, develop risk response recommendations, and assist in the implementation of these recommendations.
Develop relationships with equipment manufacturers and participate in technical societies to develop forward looking trends; evaluate equipment and designs to understand how they function and to identify failure modes.
The primary responsibilities of this position are to conduct equipment evaluations with major semiconductor vendors, define initial tooling needs for start-up, develop and/or optimize unit processes in order to meet the overall technology roadmap and device performance requirements for 14nm technology node and beyond.
Ensure continuous knowledge exchange on best known methods and improvement levers with sister fabs (ex. Fab 1, Fab 7, Fab10) engineers. Translate changes in other factories to improvement actions within current fab.with the module Planner.
