In this role, the selected candidate will mentor and develop a direct team consisting of Senior Payroll Manager, Accounts Payable Team Leader and Industrial Supervisor, managing work allocation, training, problem resolution, performance evaluation and the building of an effective team dynamic.
The Controller is an individual contrbutor role, reporting to the Division Controller and will be responsible for performing detailed accounting to support and meet our financial reporting and control requirements.
The successful candidate will direct and manage the activities of the Finance/Accounting and IT Departments. The incumbent also applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information, prepare financial reports, and complete tax reporting requirements.
This position is therefore crucial in maintaining and improving the global control environment operated within and will build or enhance existing processes to ensure appropriate controls are instilled around our financial decision making that are in compliance with the DOA to help further mitigate the risk of fraud.
The Corporate Controller will report directly to the CFO and work closely with the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis, Treasurer and the companys various business unit leaders. This position requires a high-energy level, strong work ethic, outstanding communications, interpersonal skills and a deep knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, business and finance.
Provide accounting guidance as necessary; supervise sharing of resources across the sites to encourage employee development, more specifically providing assistance in the absence of resources, as well as supporting training opportunities.
In this role, the selected candidate will manage day-to-day accounting activities including Collections, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger and General Accounting activities of the Company and its subsidiaries.
Monitor all reimbursable general conditions, budgeting, percentage of completion accounting, work in process, cost in excess, billing in excess, recognition of cost, job costing, cost accounting, contract billing, accounts payable.
