In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for developing innovative combustor cooling schemes to develop full-life combustors; responsible for proposing new material choices in support of full-life combustors.
The candidate will participate on engineering teams performing design, development and integration of RMS advanced programs within the Advanced Engineering Prototyping Department.As such, the candidate will contribute to the development of all stages of advanced product development for RMS products.
In this role, you will develop advanced energetics technologies with a high concentration on one shot initiation devices (e.g., squibs) and gas generators using scientific principles, theories, and concepts for implementation into missile systems and space vehicles.
Serve as an expert for how parts are manufactured and flow through the value stream. Understand inputs and outputs of each process, develop a strong working relationship with manufacturing supervisors and floor leadership.
The candidate will be responsible for developing technical solutions for a wide range of complex problems related to the entire missile product life cycle from design to manufacturing and integration and test of various types of missile subsystems.
Applies in-depth technical knowledge and expertise to complex engineering and construction projects for one or more of the following disciplines: civil/structural, control systems, electronics, electrical, mechanical, and/or chemical.
In this role, you will be responsible for the complete structural, thermal and rotor dynamics analysis for a wide variety of generator and motor types (salient pole, permanent magnet, induction, brushed DC).
