The successful candidate's tasks may include development of models and simulations for SLS, development of algorithms and software for a commercial, military and business aviation next generation flight planning system, and other Software Engineering activities led and supported by ADaPS.
In this role, the selected candidate will conduct assessment of algorithms, testing architecture threads and general source code assessments for identifying dangling pointers, buffer overflows, and infinite loops and race conditions.
The ideal candidate will be the responsible individual for the design, implementation, and verification of software systems, subsystems, components, and tools possessing significant functionality. The candidate will also analyze the software implementation of existing sensor and simulation systems to identify, prototype, and recommend performance and quality improvements.
The candidate must be proficient with C++ (C++11 and C++14 a plus) and object oriented design. Expertise with Windows and Linux operating systems as well as embedded systems, network programming, symmetric multi-processing/multi-threading, is required.
The candidate will work as part of a highly motivated visualization/training team to build high profile products that will ultimately be delivered to company customers for the purpose of reducing training cost by significantly reducing or eliminating the need for high cost HW trainers.
The selected candidate for this position should be familiar with EO/IR systems and operations as well as simulation and modeling approaches. The candidate will join a team of engineers in system modeling efforts, simulation execution, component and system analysis, and assist in support of Verification, Validation and Accreditation (VV&A) efforts inside a multiple component system.
