Marc Cenedella is the Founder and Executive Chairman of TheLadders, the premier online job-matching service for career-driven professionals, which has transformed the way job candidates and recruiters connect online. He founded the company with Alex Douzet and Andrew Koch in 2003, formerly serving as CEO, and is based in the New York headquarters.

Under Marc’s leadership, TheLadders has grown to more than 5 million members, making his weekly “Career Advice” newsletter to members among the largest and longest-running newsletters of its type in the world. Garnering numerous accolades over the past decade, TheLadders has been recognized as one of the Best Companies to Work for in New York, the Most Valuable Start-up in New York by Silicon Alley Insider, and has won the Webby Award for Best Employment Website. A nationally renowned thought leader on job search, career management, recruiting, and business, Marc is frequently sought out by national media outlets and organizations for his expert commentary on employment and entrepreneurialism.

Hailing from Fredonia, New York, Marc holds an MBA with high distinction from Harvard Business School, where he was named a Baker Scholar, as well as a BA in Political Science from Yale College.

Alexandre Douzet is the Chief Executive Officer of TheLadders, the premier online job-matching service for career-driven professionals, where he is responsible for the company strategy, global business operations, and product development.  He co-founded the company in 2003 with Marc Cenedella and Andrew Koch, and grew the member base to nearly 6 million since inception. Alex is based in the New York headquarters.

Under Alex’s leadership, the company has seized the mobile disruption with its native iOS mobile app that eliminates the need for keyword searches and, instead, delivers tailored job matches based upon members’ profiles, expertise, and desired career moves. Developed with a feature-lean approach, TheLadders’ app, “Job Search by TheLadders,” available for free on the App Store℠, provides an unprecedented way to identify job matches on-the-go, discover new job opportunities, and retrieve information on the competition via TheLadders Scout. With this proprietary, competitive-analysis tool, job seekers on TheLadders are able to assess their competition for a job -- before they even apply -- via a snapshot of other professionals who already have applied to the job-listing of interest.

As Executive Vice President from 2003 to 2008, Alex drove job search by launching the executive resume service, growing TheLadders’ subscription base from zero to more than 2 million members.  Additionally, Alex has authored An Investigation of Pay per Click Search Engine Advertising: Modeling the PPC Paradigm to Lower Cost per Action.  Before TheLadders, Alex was Director of Online Marketing at HotJobs, as well as Manager of Marketing Planning and Analysis for BMG Direct.

Alex holds an MBA in general management from INSEAD, an MS in direct marketing from New York University, and a BS in business administration from the University of Lyon III in France.  During his NYU studies, he received the prestigious Lester Wunderman Award, which recognizes creative leadership, marketing innovation, and online excellence. A competitive athlete, Alex finished the 2012 Ironman U.S. Championship in 12 hours, 12 minutes and 21 seconds.

Kyri Sarantakos

Kyri Sarantakos
Vice President of Engineering

Kyri Sarantakos is the Vice President of Engineering for TheLadders, the online job-matching service for career-driven professionals. He is responsible for leading the engineering and technology teams, overseeing software development, mobile, database, business intelligence, systems engineering, and corporate IT.  He joined the company in 2005 and is based in the company’s New York headquarters.

Kyri has held many roles in the technology group throughout his eight-year career at TheLadders. Most recently, he was Principal Software Architect, managing a team of architects and senior developers tasked with ensuring that millions of lines of Java, Scala, and JavaScript pass their unit tests and have the braces in the right place. Additionally, he led the adoption of Agile Project Management, Test-Driven Development and Domain Driven Design.

Prior to that role, Kyri has managed product-development teams for the job seeker, recruiter, and resume businesses, and initially joined the company as a Senior Software Engineer. Before TheLadders, Kyri worked at System Detection, Inc., writing software to detect network attacks for the Department of Defense and other private-sector businesses.

Kyri holds a BS in Computer Science from Columbia University.

Archana Agrawal

Archana Agrawal
Vice President of Strategy

Archana Agrawal is the Vice President of Strategy for TheLadders, the online job-matching service for career-driven professionals, where she is responsible for developing business insights and market strategies. She spearheads the centralized analytics function, including product utilization, marketing analytics, and financial planning and analysis. She joined the company in 2007 and is based in the New York headquarters.

Previously, Archana led initiatives aimed at growing TheLadders’ new service offerings as the Director, Program Development. Prior to that, as the company’s Director of Ecosystem, she spearheaded efforts to improve interactions and balance the jobseeker-recruiter ecosystem of more than 5 million members and more than 30,000 recruiters. Before joining TheLadders, Archana served as Advisory Software Engineer at the IBM Almaden Research Center in San Jose, where she was part of the core research team launching IBM’s storage virtualization products.

Archana holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and an MS from University of Illinois – Urbana Champaign.

Tarmi Addonizio

Tarmi Addonizio
Vice President, Legal Affairs

Tarmi Addonizio is the Vice President of Legal Affairs for TheLadders, the online job-matching service for career-driven professionals, where she is responsible for managing its legal affairs. Since joining TheLadders in 2008, Tarmi has worked closely with the management team to ensure that the legal strategy is aligned with the long-term growth strategy, ensuring consistency with the company’s entrepreneurial spirit.

Prior to joining TheLadders, Tarmi was Associate Counsel at The Charmer Sunbelt Group, one of the nation’s leading distributors of fine wines, spirits, beer, and other beverages. At CSG, she assisted on all legal matters for the company’s numerous subsidiaries, including distribution and vendor agreements, and acted as the legal point person on employment matters and industry issues. Earlier in her career, she was a Litigation Associate at Dickstein Shapiro.

Tarmi holds a JD from Fordham University School of Law and a BA from Purchase College, State University of New York. Additionally, she is a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR), a certificate rating by the Human Resource Certification Institute.

Selena Hadzibabic

Director of Product & UX

Selena Hadzibabic is the Director of Product & UX at TheLadders, the online job-matching service for career-driven professionals, where she drives a lean, user-centered product-development team to build products that delight customers and ease their job-search and recruitment efforts. Overseeing product managers and user-experience artists, she seeks that intersection between customer needs and business goals, and guides consistent delivery on the product vision. She joined the company in 2006 and is based in the company’s New York headquarters.

Throughout her six-year career at TheLadders, Selena has held many roles. Most recently, she was Product Manager, responsible for developing and maintaining product offerings for the job-seeker and recruiter markets, spanning the US and UK. After rising through the ranks to own TheLadders.co.uk’s full product portfolio, she returned to the New York office to help lead TheLadders’ products into the new mobile era. A frequently sought-after industry expert, Selena was recently quoted in The Wall Street Journal.

A native of Belgrade, Serbia, Selena holds a BA in Comparative Literature from Dartmouth College.

Robert Chefitz
Member, Board of Directors

Robert Chefitz sits on the Board of Directors for TheLadders, the online job-matching service for career-driven professionals, on which he has served since 2007.  He is General Partner and Founder of Egis Capital Partners, a private equity fund focused on the security industry.

Over the past 11 years, Robert has been a founding investor in the NJTC Venture Fund, the venture capital investment arm of the New Jersey Technology Council, specializing in early-stage investments.  Currently, he sits on several boards, including FreightWatch International, Westec Intelligent Surveillance, Alarm.com, and iLevel Solutions, where he serves as Chairman.  Previously, Robert worked at Apax Partners, a global private equity and venture capital firm, where he led some of its most successful investments, including Office Depot and Protection One.  During his 15-year tenure there, he was involved in raising, investing, and managing several funds totaling $2.5 billion dollars.  Robert started his career at private equity firm Golder Thoma & Co., where he was responsible for major investments, including PageNet and Cellular Network Partners.

Robert holds a BA from Northwestern University and an MBA from Columbia University.

Steve Berkowitz
Member, Board of Directors

Steve Berkowitz sits on the Board of Directors for TheLadders, the online job-matching service for career-driven professionals, on which he has served since 2008.  Most recently, Steve served as Senior Vice President of the Online Services Group at Microsoft, where he oversaw Microsoft's entire online advertising business, as well as its content and advertising-supported channels.  His responsibilities included allmarketing, sales, and business development related to Microsoft's online services, including MSN.com and Windows Live.

Prior to his role at Microsoft, Steve was the CEO of Ask.com, where he built the management team that orchestrated the search engine’s turnaround, which is currently the Internet’s second-largest pure search site.  Previously, Steve was the President and COO of IDG Books, where he successfully expanded the "Dummies" series and diversified IDG's holdings, establishing the company as a global consumer book brand.

Steve holds a BA from the State University of New York at Albany.
