NEW YORK – June 22, 2012 – In preparation for the 64th annual conference hosted by the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), TheLadders today released new Candidate Insights data, revealing workforce preferences shared by human resource professionals. Of the 236,000 members who responded to 10 questions from TheLadders — the most comprehensive job-matching service for career-driven professionals — more than 14,000 of them specialize in human resources, providing recruiters with unique intelligence about job seekers who perform this job function.

According to TheLadders Candidate Insights, nearly half (42%) of HR professionals prefer to work at large companies with more than 1,000 employees, while only 12% prefer to work at companies with less than 200 employees. In direct contrast, law professionals prefer to work at small companies and avoid companies with more than 1,000 employees. Another notable finding about HR job seekers is that the importance of managing people increases commensurately with their desired annual salary.
