Dealmaker Media Honors TheLadders.com and Recognizes them as Leaders in the Tech Industry
NEW YORK (October 4, 2007) - TheLadders.com, the world's leading online marketplace for $100k+ jobs, was honored as a Momentum 2007 Company at the Momentum Growth Conference today. The event, which is produced annually by Dealmaker Media, took place at the Microsoft Campus in Mountain View, California.
The Momentum Growth Conference honors industry leaders dominating the next stage of the growth cycle. Companies granted this prestigious honor are recognized as "ones to watch" and have mastered the balance of growing exponentially while continuing to gain rapid traction in an exploding market.
"We are proud to honor TheLadders.com. We are impressed by what they've been able to achieve in such a short amount of time," said Debbie Landa, CEO of Dealmaker Media. "We're thrilled to be able to provide a meeting place for them to meet and discuss growth strategies, partnerships, and more with the major market stakeholders."
TheLadders.com was chosen to receive this award based on their revenue growth over a short period of time, proven and scalable business model, user-base size, customers and partnerships. Dealmaker Media worked with a selection committee who reviewed over 500 candidates and chose the top percentile to recognize.
Speaking on a panel at the event, entitled "Business Models That Drive Momentum," TheLadders.com Chief Marketing Officer Robert Turtledove discussed the market opportunity for his company's paid search business model: "We've built our business on the premise that a subscription-based job search service is more effective than a free site. The real growth on the Internet right now is coming from companies that offer a degree of exclusivity; entrance into a special club, whether through invitations into a social network or through access to high-end job listings. We will see more companies move in this direction in the months and years to come." Turtledove was joined on the panel by executives from fellow Momentum 2007 companies, Blurb.com, Gaia Online and Jingle Networks.
"We are so proud to be a part of the Momentum Growth Conference," said Marc Cenedella, CEO of TheLadders.com. "It's an honor to be recognized for our growth along with such a prominent group of companies. Our team at TheLadders.com seems to be most comfortable when moving at break-neck pace, so I look forward to continuing to push the envelope in the careers marketplace and staying in this growth mode for many years to come."
