TheLadders.com Announces Appointment of Brian Swette to Board of Directors

Veteran Worldwide Marketing Expert Joins Board of Rapidly Evolving $100K Online Job Search Services Company

NEW YORK (June 6, 2005) - TheLadders.com, the world's leading $100k+ job search engine, today announced the appointment of Brian Swette to its board of directors. The appointment represents a new addition to TheLadders.com's board.

Formerly the Chief Operating Officer of eBay, Swette oversaw the international expansion, marketing and customer support that made eBay the most successful e-commerce site on the Internet. Swette was instrumental in expanding eBay into new product categories. His addition of used cars turned eBay into the country's biggest car dealer. Swette also improved the consumer interface, creating features like "Buy It Now," which allows consumers to buy auction items at a set price. During his time at eBay, Swette helped to establish the eBay brand by focusing on the unique relationships that the company built with its users and the sense of community created by the eBay Web site.

Prior to joining eBay, Swette was Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for the Pepsi-Cola Co. During his 17-year tenure there, he was responsible for the worldwide advertising, promotion and product innovation efforts of all Pepsi-Cola brands. This included the "nothing else is a Pepsi" advertising campaign, the "Pepsi Stuff" promotion, and new product packaging such as the "cube" and the "big slam." Swette re-launched Mountain Dew; as an extreme experience, making it the fastest-growing beverage with over five billion dollars in sales, and brought Aquafina, Li pton Iced Tea, and Starbucks Frappuccino to the Pepsi network. Swette's first position at Pepsi-Cola was Vice President of Pepsi Latin America.

Previously, Swette worked as a brand manager at Procter & Gamble. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Arizona State University.

Swette serves as a board member for Burger King, the Boys and Girls Club, and is a trustee of the Pinecrest Preparatory School.

Marc Cenedella, President and CEO of TheLadders.com, said, "We are thrilled to add Brian's extensive marketing and branding expertise to our growing board of directors. His far-reaching knowledge of the marketing world will help us take TheLadders.com to the next level of consumer awareness."

Swette commented, "TheLadders.com has been able to build fantastic momentum in a short amount of time. I look forward to playing a part in the process of turning this fast-growing company into a well-known global brand."
