Experienced Executive to Lead Business Development, Product Management and User Experience

In this role, Marcelo is responsible for the management of business development and job acquisition, and the company's product portfolio. She will also handle management of the overall user experience.
Marcelo joins TheLadders.com from Upromise where she was the Vice President of Marketing and Product Management. With Upromise since its inception, Marcelo managed the website user experience, spearheaded member marketing and the integration of Upromise partners, including the development of custom technology platforms for many Fortune 50 companies, such as AT&T, General Motors, Exxon Mobil and Citi.

Marcelo was previously a consultant with Monitor Company, as well as Pyramid Research and Putnam, Hayes & Bartlett. While at Harvard University, where Marcelo received a combined Juris Doctor and MBA, she was a graduate teaching fellow for the Harvard Business School and a recipient of the Dean's Award for overall leadership, and of the Fitzie Foundation Award, which honors the most outstanding female student. She also graduated magna cum laude from Mount Holyoke College where she earned a bachelor's degree in Economics and International Relations.
