Hired This Month at TheLadders.com

So, Readers, another common question I get as I meet with people across the country is “Are you seeing the recession impact hiring?” As the nation’s (and the world’s) largest source for $100k+ jobs, lots of folks are interested to know what insight we can share about the current state of the economy.

Well, with the unemployment rate increasing to 5.5% in May, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the economic woes caused by the subprime crisis and high gas prices impacting hiring at the senior–most levels of the workforce.

It wouldn’t be surprising, but that’s not (yet) what we’re seeing.

I dug into our stats and found, for example, that in the last week of March, 1,136 members of TheLadders reported accepting new jobs, while last week, 1,461 did. So, the truth is, the market for $100k+ job seekers still looks very strong.

And in that light, here are just a fraction of the jobs accepted by TheLadders.com subscribers which they found on TheLadders.com in June (we obviously can’t post all of them for space considerations):

Associate Vice President$240k

So I know that when you are out looking for your next job, the “big picture” stats don’t do much to ease the hassle and frustration of the job hunt. The most important “job accepted” will be your own.

But I do hope our insight into the broader market gives you some solace this Monday morning, Readers, and a renewed confidence that, yes, there are a LOT of hires going on out there at the $100k+ level, your level.

Now the thing to do is to fire up the laptop, get out that resume, and start looking through the over 80,000 jobs we have available for you this week at TheLadders.com!

Thanks, Readers, and have a great week!
