At Level 3 you will receive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance benefits - all with aggressive company contribution, beginning on day one with no waiting periods.In addition to industry-leading benefits, Level 3 offers a generous paid time off plan, company matched 401(k), health and wellness programs, education reimbursement, corporate bonus program and access to world-class industry training.Apply today and become an integral part of the team that is raising the bar in the telecommunications industry.Summary:Functional Role including complexity and impact:• Leadership role to define, structure, and manage the growth in each wholesale segment.• Business manager for the segment.• At sales leadership table to provide guidance for execution to growth plan.• Define a 3 year segment strategy plan.• Responsible for the growth and finance performance of the segmentMAJOR RESPONSIBILTIES• Leadership role to define, structure, and manage the growth in each segment.• Business manager for the segment.• At sales leadership table to provide guidance for execution to growth plan.• Define a 3 year segment strategy plan.• Responsible for the growth and finance performance of the segment .• Owns corporate marketing budget to enable segment plans. • Influences field marketing budget spend• Public image and brand to market and each segment (speaking, shows, etc)• Defines Level 3’s global segmentation and vertical strategy and aligns to channels• Align with regional segment teams• Obtain and analyze market size, market share and growth forecasts by region, product and market segment.• Define Global Customer profile• Outline Customer buying behavior• Define how best to sell to the specific buying behavior• Define Lead generation programs with global central marketing team• Define Value proposition working with Corporate brand• Solution definition and priority• Specific wholesale solution creation including sales enablement and activation• Specific customer targeting for GTM plans• Solution and product gap analysis by segment and vertical• Liaison to product planning and product management for product roadmap definition• GTM 4 P marketing plan execution mix strategy (events, tradeshows, Tier 1 - global)• High level GTM 4 P marketing plan and timing for tier 2 and 3 (national & city)• Inputs into Marketing Calendar (events, speaking engagements, SLT speaking level to Field mkt), responsible for segment marketing calendarCORE CAPABILITIES· Knowledge of the wholesale market and segmentation a must.· Strategic Planning, Marketing Strategy & Execution, Team Leadership, international strategy, marketing planning, 4 P marketing plans, budget control, business development.Education and Experience* Experience: 10+ yrs* Education Level: Bachelors Degree* Field of Study: Marketing, Business, Finance, and/or Economics* A combination of education and experience is acceptable.Knowledge, Skills or AbilitiesThe Senior Director will have 10+ years of industry experience and possess product management & business development experience in or serving the IP or a related industry segment. Strong industry contacts would be a key differentiator for the candidate. Strong analytical (i.e., Excel), oral & written presentation (i.e., PowerPoint) and customer interaction skills are required.
