Overall description of the job
Tariff and rate management and analysis, cost management, business planning, and ongoing financial tracking/support analysis of initiatives arising from legal/regulatory, legislative and judicial activities; predominantly related to the FCC Order - Intercarrier Compensation Reform
-Analysis of tariffs to support Intercarrier Compensation Reform and state advocacy plans to ensure favorable PUC rulings that improve expense.
-Monitor ILEC tariff filings, FCC Dockets, Public Notices, LEC Petitions.
-Support management and update of access rate tables.
-Trackingmonthly results and risks and opportunities.
-Ensure linkage of regulatory initiatives with BU financial, strategic and operational plans.
-Access Management, (Policy Definition, Advocacy,Intervention, Rate Management, Business-To-Business negotiations, Business Planning.
-BU Partners (Product, Pricing),
-Legal, External Affairs,
Systems for tariff rate management (CCMI/Telview), CARS/SAWS
-Systems for tracking actuals (ADW)
Primary skills required
Interpretation and translation of ILEC/ICO/CLEC tariff filings and federal/state commission orders.
Ability to analyze and interpret financial tracking results and impacts from rate/unit cost changes and their linkage to expected financial performance.
-Bachelors’s Degree (minimum)
-Desired fields: Telecommunications, Finance, Network
