We are serving as an Exclusive Recruiting Partner with our client. This is a newly created executive-level position that offers a unique opportunity to buld a VMO from inception along with a very competitive compensation package and opportunity for continued growth.

Our client is an international leader in beauty and cosmetics with a family of more than 25 recognized brands across more than 150 countries.   As a result of continued growth, this is a newly created position that will spearhead and build a VMO focusing on building and implementing best-in-breed VMO practices

The Director, Strategic IT Vendor Management Office, North America is an executive-level position that reports into the VP PMO Group and will be responsible for developing and maintaining effective vendor
relationships with strategic technology vendors within the Office of the CIO.  This position will be the single point of contact for a subset of all strategic vendors. This executive will act as the principal liaison between the vendor and internal groups including the GIS leadership team, Development, Operational Managers, Service Managers and Project Management. This executive is responsible for ensuring that the vendor meets or exceeds the contracted services, measures performance against operational Service Level Agreements, (SLA) and coordinates vendor activity to meet current and future operational requirements and project needs in alignment with GIS and Corporate goals. 

This position is leader and will manage a team of three direct reports (Managers of Service Performance and Contracts management) and together the team works on ensuring that the original goals and expectations of the relationship business case are maximized.  Additionally, this position is responsible for an evolving relationship through the term of the agreement in an evolving environment including increase
and decrease in scope of relationship with the vendor, on-boarding and transition of company's affiliates into their managed services portfolio.  This Executive will manage changes in demand from the overall company business strategy.







Key Roles and Responsibilities:












  • As primary point of contact and overall account owner, the Executive must build and maintain effective working relationships to both internal and external stakeholders. Prime facilitator for engagements between various levels of vendor contacts with legal, Indirect Procurement, Business Relationship Managers and Service Tower Leads.  Ensures continuous
    improvement of services provided by vendor under management.

  • Develops, prioritizes and maintains various plans including: account management, service improvement and commercial resolution. 

  • Participates in the mapping of the assigned vendor(s) into the overall vendor ecosystem and ensure these vendors engage and embrace the company's multi-vendor model. 

  • Engages with vendor to populate and maintain vendor profile database and dashboard.

  • Develop, maintain and execute supplier governance package including: face off chart, meeting cadence, project portfolio, change management and best practices.  Drivesthe dispute resolution process and enforce root cause analysis through process with operations teams.  Communicates
    findings and improvements to GIS Leadership Team.

  • Manages cost and risk in support of original business case. Seeks and negotiates reductions where possible and participate in budget process.

  • Monitors vendor performance against goals via supplier management, contract management, financial management & governance tools and related reporting methodologies (dashboards, Key Performance Indicators, (KPI's) and SLA reporting) and initiative corrective action.

  • Serves as an advocate for new business and innovation.  Participates in vendor
    selections and negotiations with Legal and Indirect Procurement






 
Requirements:












  • Degreed professional required along with proven experience building a VMO and related ITIL best practices for an enterprise technology organization with strong leadership and management experience; must have demonstrated experience managing vendors, managing and negotiating large-scale, complex vendor contracts

  • Knowledge of project and/or asset management in a technology environment, services outsourcing and managed hosting.

  • Must have strong experience working in Information Technology (knowledge of the various types of software licensing, IT infrastructure, Applications, metric and maintenance /support contracts

  • Excellent organization and analytical skills

  • Proven ability to work in collaboration with external service providers, building and developing effective service provider relationships

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate at various levels within the organization and withexternal parties

  • Ability to establish and document processes, guidelines and policies

  • Ability to prioritize and work on multiple tasks delivering high quality results
