As a result of continued growth, this is a newly created position that will spearhead and build a VMO focusing on building and implementing best-in-breed VMO practices
The Director, Strategic IT Vendor Management Office, North America is an executive-level position that reports into the VP PMO Group and will be responsible for developing and maintaining effective vendor
relationships with strategic technology vendors within the Office of the CIO. This position will be the single point of contact for a subset of all strategic vendors. This executive will act as the principal liaison between the vendor and internal groups including the GIS leadership team, Development, Operational Managers, Service Managers and Project Management. This executive is responsible for ensuring that the vendor meets or exceeds the contracted services, measures performance against operational Service Level Agreements, (SLA) and coordinates vendor activity to meet current and future operational requirements and project needs in alignment with GIS and Corporate goals.
This position is leader and will manage a team of three direct reports (Managers of Service Performance and Contracts management) and together the team works on ensuring that the original goals and expectations of the relationship business case are maximized. Additionally, this position is responsible for an evolving relationship through the term of the agreement in an evolving environment including increase
and decrease in scope of relationship with the vendor, on-boarding and transition of company's affiliates into their managed services portfolio. This Executive will manage changes in demand from the overall company business strategy.
